We envision a Trail Network connecting people on foot or wheels with the places they need and want to go, both locally and regionally. The network utilizes numerous existing and planned trails and also identifies gaps to be filled with future trails. We envision a variety of “connectors” that make it safe, convenient and fun for people to reach the network from home and to their destination. More travel on foot and wheels helps reduce traffic, protect our environment, promote physical and emotional health and make our local economy more vibrant. The trails should be accessible to people of all ages, abilities and means. This Trail Network provides a framework for working with City, County and State agencies to establish priorities and secure funding based on equity, access and demand.
