The new 9 mile paved Broadneck Peninsula Trail extends from the B&A Trail at Jones Station Rd, Severna Park to Sandy Point State Park on the Chesapeake Bay. There are short road segments at each end which are noted in the route description in the Ride with GPS map and route.

There is a short segment on a cul de sac road after crossing Ritchie Hwy and another park road section from the end of the trail into Sandy Pt. Park for spectacular Chesapeake Bay views! Parking is available near the start at the Jones Station Park and Ride and also along the route at Anne Arundel Community College, Broadneck Library or High School and Bayhead Park. People on foot or bike can enter Sandy Point State Park free but there is a charge for vehicles and the park fills up on summer weekends.
There are several places for nearby food and drink along the trail including 7-11 at Ritchie Hwy and another in Cape St. Claire and restaurants and coffee shops on Bay Dale Dr. and Cape St. Claire Rd.
Near the ride start on the B&A Trail on the south side of Jones Station Rd is the Jones Station Trail Crossroads Sign which explains this important intersection of local and national trail routes.
